Welcome! Please feel free to look though these announcements and see what Troop 230 has going on and what Scouting is all about!  The Troop is Scout-led and is working to fulfill the Vision of Scouting:

Fall Camp out!

Please meet at the church at 6:30 pm Friday 10/16/20 for a caravan down to the troop site.

we will not be cooking dinner, so eat before hand. We will be in camp from Friday night to Sunday morning.

REMINDER: TROOP SITE DAY VISIT!

Please meet at the church 9:am bring a bag lunch or something to burn over the fire.  We will be exploring the grounds and leaving at 2:00 pm.

Come for some or all of the day!

Goals:

  • Checking out our property
  • Exploring the land
  • Looking for sign of animals in the area.
  • Hike, fire building, some advancement opportunities.
  • Practice with tents and site picking

 Final plans are being confirmed but we will likely:

  • Meet at around 9:00am at the church to caravan down to the Troop Site.
  • Everyone needs to drive their Scouts or carpool and wear masks if car pooling.
  • We will maintain social distancing during the day but everyone should have their mask with them.
  • Bring a lunch and water.  We will have a campfire if you want to cook something there or bring a cold lunch.
  • We have a shelter there in case of rain.
  • We’ll probably leave mid-PM to be back before dinner depending on what the guys are doing.

August 19th - Parent Meeting run #2

No Scout meeting this week (19 Aug), instead there will be a parent meeting over Microsoft teams (an email will be sent out with the invite) parents please attend 

We need everyone to join this event. 

This is a repeat of the content from August 5th.  We had trouble with the meeting request so we're trying again.  If you came last time, you are welcome to come again, but not required.

This Wednesday we will be meeting at the church at 7:00 to clean out the troop trailer and prepare it for upcoming campouts

we will also be going over the upcoming camp out Fort Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
